Karl-Johan Persson 

Managing Director & CEO

Karl-Johan Persson earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration for the European Business School in London. After selling his successful Scandanavian-based events management company, European Network in 2005, he joined H&M to handle operations, as Head of Expansion and Head of Business Development. From 2006 to 2009, he became a member of the Board of H&M Hennes & Mauritz AB.

On July 1, 2009, Karl-Johan Persson was appointed the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of H & M Henne & Mauritz, succeeding Rolf Eriksen.  As the new MD, he handles the recruitment of senior executives, buying and logistics matters, pricing strategy, sales and profitability, marketing, expansion, development of the store network and of online and catalogue sales, and IT development.  His role also includes contact with the financial market, the media and the authorities.

Stefan Persson

Chairman of the Board

Stefan Person has been Member of the Board at Hennes & Mauritz AB since 1979 and has been Chairman since 1998.  He served as Chief Executive officer for the company from 1982 to 1998 and Country Manager from 1967 to 1982.

Born in 1947, Stefan Person was educated at the Stockholm University and Lund University from 1969 up to 1973.  He is currently living in Stockholm, Sweden and married to Carolyn Denis with three children.  His son, Karl-Johan Perrson is now serving as Managing Director of H&M
